OVERSEAS NURSES PROGRAMME

The Overseas Nurses Programme (ONP) gives overseas Nurses the opportunity to become Licensed Nurses in the UK. In conjunction with the BSc International Nursing Degree, nursing students will be able to apply for the ONP, subject to meeting the following programme requirements:

• Minimum IELTS score of 7.0 in every band
• Students must be a licensed Nurse in the Philippines
• Minimum 1 year’s practical nursing experience in the Philippines (in a hospital of minimum 100 bed capacity)

Duration: 3 – 6 months

On successful completion of the ONP & once the student has their PIN Number from the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC) in the UK, they can apply for up to a 5 year Work Permit (this is not automatic). Once Work Permit holders have been in the UK for a minimum of 5 years (study & post-study time spent in the UK does not count towards this), they can apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK (again, this is not automatic).
