Philip Leonard is the Chairman of International Student Advisors 4u Inc. as well as being a director in a number of other companies including ISA Companies in Hong Kong, Singapore and the United Kingdom.
Originally, with a background in the Lloyds of London re-insurance Industry at the age of 28 he sold his multi-million pound Lloyds Insurance Brokerage and branched out into other business areas helping to build and develop Companies in a number of different industries, some of which he still has an involvement with today.
In 1999 he came to the Philippines for the first time to set up businesses in Energy Conservation and Recruitment having seen the need in the United Kingdom for well qualified Healthcare staff.
In 2006, urged by UK Organisations, he began to research the possibilities of bringing Filipino nurses and Healthcare Professionals to the UK on “Study and Work” Programmes aimed at enhancing the Filipinos existing degree and adding a further dimension to their educational background, whilst at the same time providing paid work experience.
In 2008, the first full year of operation, ISA sent over 500 Healthcare Professionals to the UK and with offices throughout the Philippines, is considered the market leader for sending nurses to the UK on Degree Programmes.
Now, in 2010 we have seen these numbers increase to over 1,300 students and no longer just on healthcare courses but in other areas as well.
Mr. Leonard is priviledged to be a Freeman of the City of London since May 1997.
Bernalyn Leonard, the President of not only International Student Advisors, but of a number of other associated Companies has been involved with the Company right from its inception and has been part of the team that has helped propel and promote the Company.
With a background in running her own Business in both Hong Kong and the Philippines, she became President of St Georges Recruitment International Inc in the Philippines, 9 years ago, a company that successfully sent many thousands of Filipino's to the UK and other Countries on Work Permits, before the incorporation of ISA.
As President of ISA, she is responsible for the continued growth of the Company and the opening of further offices both in the Philippines and overseas to enable many more students the chance of experiencing this life changing opportunity.
Clare Leonard: Joint Managing Director of ISA 4U Ltd.
A Bachelor of Science in Economics, having achieved a 2:1 Honours Degree in 2002 from the University of Essex, Clare went on to work in advertising for Channel Five television for 6 years. Responsible for multi-million pound advertising and sponsorship campaigns for some of the largest advertisers in the UK, she left her role as Sponsorship Manager to join ISA. She was based in the Makati office, for 12 months where she oversaw the effective running of our increasingly busy Visa Processing and Deployment Departments.
Following on from her time in the Philippines she is now based back in the UK responsible for developing relationships with new colleges and Universities as well as our work placement providers, for the required OJT (on-the-job training).
Clare is also a Director of STG Finance Ltd, our loan collection company, responsible for managing repayments of student loans made in the Philippines by Banks such as HSBC.
Sarah Leonard: Joint Managing Director ISA 4U Ltd.
Having graduated from University in 2004, with an Honours Degree in Film and Media Studies, Sarah went on to join the family business in July 2004 and became a Director of St Georges Recruitment Ltd, responsible for recruiting Overseas Workers to the UK in the Health Care Sector. Although St Georges Recruitment has not actively sent Work Permit holders to the UK since 2007, Sarah is very much involved in helping Work Permit holders renew their Work Permits and Visas, as well as Dependent Visas and Indefinite Leave to Remain.
During 2007, ISA 4U Ltd was formed and Sarah has been running the UK company ever since. Sarah works very closely with the Universities and Colleges and is also responsible for finding Work Placements for students.
Sarah and Clare Leonard now jointly manage the UK Companies, which include STG Finance Ltd., and St Georges Recruitment Ltd.
Timothy Sargeant is an educator and handles our International Management Qualification certificate courses and our English Language programme.
He has been a resident of the Philippines since 1984 and established and ran a church school using and Individualised Instructional curriculum.
In recent years he has taught English as a Second Language in an international school and been an instructor of English as a Foreign Language in one of Manila’s prestigious language centres. While working as an English Language Consultant he developed and effectively used a remedial English programme and successfully conducted IELTS reviews.
Aside from this he has been teaching in several theological seminaries and has also conducted leadership seminars for churches and non-government organizations.
He is married to a lovely Filipina and has three children and two grandchildren.
Tim firmly believes in his vocation to help the Filipino people achieve their dreams, and in so doing his own dreams are fulfilled.
